I made links to IMDB to give you a reference to all the movies each made. However I bet we all have an opinion.

Who's better: Henry Fonda or Jimmy Stewart |

Henry Fonda and Jimmy
Stewart made movies during the same era. Both were all American, A list, famous and beloved.

That's hard. I voted for Fonda. Twelve Angry Men and The Best Man came to mind. They beat a lot of films Stewart did.

Self-Reliance, and Perseverance.

I voted Fonda too. I must confess , Stewart's voice can get annoying at times.

So it's between Brigadier General James Stewart and the sire of a commie dynasty, eh?
I think I'll go with Stewart, comrades. |

Fonda. Any doubt? watch Grapes of Wrath.
"Then it don't matter. I'll be all around in the dark - I'll be everywhere. Wherever you can look - wherever there's a fight, so hungry people can eat, I'll be there. Wherever there's a cop beatin' up a guy, I'll be there. I'll be in the way guys yell when they're mad. I'll be in the way kids laugh when they're hungry and they know supper's ready, and when the people are eatin' the stuff they raise and livin' in the houses they build - I'll be there, too."

This may come as a shock to you, Nikita, but the ACTORS DON'T WRITE THEIR OWN DIALOGUE.

I may have voted both. I love Rear Window and Anatomy of a Murder. Fonda wasn't in any Hitchcock movies. Fonda and Stewart were both great.

The Hollywood Reporter wrote: It may come as a shock to you Walter Winchell Wannabe, but the Actors delivery can make or break a scene. Hell, even the whole movie.

I voted equal as well. My uncle Jimmy looked just like Jimmy Stewart. I think they were both great actors.

Jimmy Stewart.
His movies have a comforting sentimentality. |
